Fly Roofing started in late 2019 with a baby on the way, a big dream, and a whole lot of determination. What began as “just the two of us” has turned into a trusted local roofing company serving the entire Flathead Valley. We’re still family owned, still hands-on, and still committed to doing things the right way — with honesty, communication, and quality work that holds up in Montana weather.
Our name and reputation matter to us. We’ve put our heart into this business, and we plan to pass it down to our kids someday. Every roof we install is part of that legacy.
- Our Story
How Fly Roofing Began
- Most roofing companies don’t start with a Craigslist ad, a sunburn, and a well-timed Dad joke… but ours did.
- The summer after college, Meghan was looking for a job to get her from graduation to a medical position starting in the fall. She found a roof laborer posting on Craigslist, saw the $16/hour, and said, “boy howdy, that’s a deal!” One summer of hard labor, stronger muscles, and a farmer’s tan later, she left roofing behind — or so she thought.
- On the day she moved to Missoula, the apartment complex behind her was being re-roofed. Her dad hollered up to the roofers that she could help them finish, they jokingly left a business card on her door, and she ended up roofing part-time until her hospital position started. That contractor’s number stayed in her phone for years.
- Fast forward to 2019. Meghan and Hunter were expecting their first child and looking for a new direction. That old roofing number — which most people would’ve deleted — helped spark what would become Fly Roofing.

If you get an email from Fly Roofing, it’s almost certainly from Meghan. She runs the behind-the-scenes operations, customer communication, scheduling, and most of the storytelling that keeps Fly Roofing human instead of “just another contracting company.”
Every now and then she gets the itch to climb a ladder and get back on a roof — but after a recent tear-off with Hunter, she officially retired her roofing boots. (No regrets.)
